I'm pretty lenient and understanding with bloggers and realize things come up in life. I've been a book blogger for over three years myself AND take care of three kiddos, so I've been through a lot of situations myself and really know the ins and outs of blog tours from both sides of the glass. There are only a few guidelines I have for bloggers and would greatly appreciate it if everybody please sticks to them! Communication is key, if you email me, we can always work something out!
-Blog posts must be up by 9pm CST, that literally gives you all day to get the post up (in case you forgot, you still have time after work or other things to still get it up!)
-Posts need to be in the top 4 posts. I know some other companies require the top spot and I'm not trying to step on any toes, but posts really need to be in the top 4 so authors can easily find their posts. Scheduled blog tours NEED to have preference over cover reveals, blitzes and other events that I know can be posted anytime.
-Because these are promotional tours, unfavorable reviews (if you can only rate below 3 stars) should be held off until after the tour. If you happen to not like the book, please shoot me an email and let me know, and I'll ask you to just post a spotlight or excerpt and this will in no way reflect bad upon you as a tour host; I respect honest opinions! If possible, also post your review on Goodreads and Amazon, and wherever else you normally post (this is a very big help to the author!). I know Amazon can be a bit fickle sometimes about letting reviewers post reviews if they haven't purchased the book, but please at least post on your blog and Goodreads at the minimum! Reviews MUST be posted on your tour stop the day of your posting! Do not leave the space blank or do a "review coming soon". Most reviewers have over a month to review, but if you need more time, let me know and we can work something out!
- Review copies for ALL tours are available in pdf, mobi or epub
-IF you cannot post your stop on your scheduled date, please email me (preferably a little ahead of time) and we can work out an alternate date, though I'd like you to get the tour up as soon as possible. I understand life happens sometimes and things may come up, however in order for tours to run smoothly and to not disappoint any authors, please try your hardest to post on time. Pre-scheduling posts is always the best thing to do when you first receive tour kits!
-Master bloggers are auto signed up for every tour that fits their genre preferences. They reserve the right to bow out of any tour that they prefer not to post due to content matter or dates not working out. If that is the case, it's always best to let me know within a day or two of receiving kits, early on, so that I may make the appropriate schedule changes and inform the author early on rather than just missing your tour stop.
