Hidden Gypsy Magic A Witch's Journey Book 3 by Tena Stetler Genre: Paranormal Romance, Mystery
The Salem Wildlife Sanctuary is Gwen Taylor's life work. Her Irish Gypsy heritage provides a hidden talent she uses to help the creatures under her care. But even her magical skills can't help new rescues in dire need of veterinary care.
The opportunity of signing on as the vet for Gwen's sanctuary dropped into Brock Scutter's lap after he expanded his practice to include wildlife. The personal attraction he and Gwen experience is undeniable the more their professional and personal lives collide.
Touring the only "non-haunted" house in Salem they both feel a spark of magic. A trip to his family's cabin uncovers a heritage he didn't know existed. If they want a future together, it means facing the consequences of awakening hidden Gypsy magic and a race against the clock to correct past wrongs.
"This house may not have a history of magic, but I'd bet it's magical. Pepper is going to go nuts when she sees this. You're going to put an offer in. Right?"
"As I said before, it may be completely out of my price range."
"I have a feeling the house has been waiting for you." Gwen flung her hand to her mouth, her face flushed, and her gaze swiveled to him. "I don't know what made me say that."
Looking thoughtful, he grinned. "Since the day I stumbled upon Pepper's secret — then discovered that you and I share the gift or curse of gypsy blood, things have been different—" Pausing, he shoved his hand in his jean's pocket and jingled the change in his pocket. "I've been different. It's as if knowing magic exists awakened something in me."
"Join the club. Years ago Pepper made a believer out of me. In fact, there were times I wished—never mind. Whether it was my outlook or as you said magic awakened. But to be fair, I've always had what I called a sixth sense with animals, attuned to their feelings, almost their thoughts, fears, that kind of thing. Pepper called it my talent. But as we became close, I noticed other abilities… you'll think I'm crazy."
"Try me." He moved closer to her and the front door banged open. Quickly he rushed to the top of the stairs.

With the majestic Rocky Mountains just outside the window, I sit at my computer with vampires, demons, witches, faeries, and a variety of paranormal creatures gathered around telling me their stories! That makes me an author of paranormal romance novels and cozy mysteries with magic spark. The everyday world is mundane, but sprinkle a little magic and you have fantastic!
Colorado is home. I share my life with a wonderful husband of many moons, our brilliant Chow Chow, a terribly spoiled companion parrot, and a forty-year-old box turtle. We enjoy hiking, biking, and camping, also love water sports including kayaking and whitewater rafting, especially on the Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge.
Another passion of mine is reading a good novel. You can find me any winter evening curled up in front
of a crackling fire with a good book, a mug of hot chocolate, and a big bowl of popcorn. While growing up, if I didn’t like the ending of a book, I’d rewrite it, which led to writing my own books.
Reluctantly, I discovered that in real life it’s tough to rewrite an ending.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Tena Stetler, I write award winning and best-selling Paranormal Romance/Mystery novels. Crafting stories that will sweep my readers out of their ordinary world into a magical, romantic fantasy with a touch of mystery and adventure. There are nearly always a few companion animals to round out the tales. For a few hours a day, I hope my readers forget about their problems, worries, stress, and the real world and enjoy a feel good story with a happily ever after ending. I believe we all need that these days. Don’t you?
I’m a panster, I write by the seat of my pants so to speak, so I never know exactly where a story is going or which direction my characters are going to hijack the plot. It can be quite disconcerting at times. Especially when I think I’m in charge, turns out nothing could be farther from the truth. The more novels I write, the more I discover I’ll never be in charge. LOL
My new release, HIDDEN GYPSY MAGIC, was inspired by the characters not being finished with their stories from A WITCH’S JOURNEY and A WITCH’S HOLIDAY WEDDING. A Witch’s Journey started out as a book for my publisher’s Lobster Cove series. A story set in the sleepy seaside community of Lobster Cove, Maine. So many unplanned things happened in that tale it became apparent there’d have to been a sequel. Soooo…A Witch’s Holiday Wedding was born. I love a heartwarming holiday story. Don’t you?
At the end of A WITCH’S HOLIDAY WEDDING, Gwen met Brock at Lobster Cove Rescue. They were both from Salem, so the story moved to Salem. Lo and behold, HIDDEN GYPSY MAGIC took off on a path all its own. New characters joined the cast and a whole new magical adventure ensured
Needless to say, I finished up Pepper’s journey, or at least I thought I did. But oh, no, Gwen, Pepper’s best friend, wanted her own story and proceeded to tell me how it would go. I sat down at the computer and several hours later, had to agree with her. She had quite a tale to tell of poachers, hidden Gypsy magic, houses that weren’t what they seemed, and a ghost from 1793 with a secret so scandalous you’ve got to read it to believe it.
I love secrets. Don’t you? Psst… I’ll let you in on a little secret HIDDEN GYPSY MAGIC isn’t the end of the series. I was hijacked yet again with the results releasing in the form of CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY MAGIC April 2021. Hehehe.
I hope you enjoying reading HIDDEN GYPSY MAGIC, A WITCH’S JOURNY and A WITCH’S HOLIDAY WEDDING as much as I did writing them. Happy Halloween!
