June's Double Rainbow
by Cheryl Holloway
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Picture
When love and monogamy fail…Her fiancé breaks off the engagement.

At first, June is stunned, but then, she is determined to move on to better things…like an unplanned trip to Paris for her job—where she falls deeply in love with a man from another part of the world. He wines and dines June; sweeps her off her feet; and ultimately, wins her heart. Their short romance echoes an endearing love. When she returns to the US, he calls her faithfully every day. Then suddenly, no call…

Can their love survive on different continents?

"An engaging story with beautiful imagery!"

In this heartwarming romance, June learns to embrace each challenge and wait for a transformation in her life.

This beautifully written romance is complete escapism. Each of the characters has been well developed, considering the length of the story, and the dialogue revealed a great deal about their personalities. ~ Lesley Jones for READERS FAVORITE

A Quick Romantic Read…This is a nice story for someone looking for love. Everything happens for a reason. Love comes when you least expect it. ~G. Littlejohn for Philadelphia Publishing House
Readers, this is a quick read; yet, an epic romance. If you’re a fan of Debbie Macomber, you’ll soon be a fan of Cheryl Holloway!

What are you passionate about these days?
CH: I pay it forward to other authors and have been for well over 15 years—that is only one of my passions. I wrote a book and had a very hard time promoting it. So, I vowed to help as many other authors as I could. And in 2005, I did not have a way to get the word out about my book, A Forgotten Negro League Star: A Personal Look at Al Burrows, which was published in Jan 2004, but it is currently out-of-print. So, in 2005, I created Just About Books Internet Radio Talk Show. I gave authors a one-hour interview to discuss their book. The Negro League book wasn’t my first book; however, I needed to promote it locally and nationally, so I decided that a radio show would help me get the word out for myself and other authors. The book became well known by my writing press releases, local and national newspaper articles, and of course, word of mouth. Al Burrows was alive during that time and he promoted the book, as well. I have continued to pay it forward since 2013, by creating my blog, www.CherylHolloway.net/blog. Last year my blog celebrated its Fifth Anniversary with over 500,000 views. Please visit my blog and subscribe, so you won’t miss great books and wonderful authors.

Can you give us a little background on June’s Double Rainbow?
CH: I wanted to write a book with a slightly different literary appeal. I wrote this book in English for an English-speaking audience. However, I also speak French, and I have included some French phases in the book. You can read the book with clarity without knowing the French language. I have always wanted to write one of my books with French phrases and words included. If you would like to know the exact meaning for the French phrases, you can go to http:// context.reverso.net/ translation/ french-english/ for translation.

Do you write one book at a time or do you have several going at a time?
CH: I usually write several books at once, so I usually have several Works in Progress. I guess you can say that I will be busy writing for some time, especially with several unfinished books. LOL

How often do you write?
CH: I am a full-time writer, so I write all day, every day—mostly I am writing my books and my blog. I just write everyday with no particular word count in mind. I usually write 4+ hours (more like 8+ hours) every single day. You do what you love. 

Can you tell us a little about your writing?
CH: Yes, some of my stories are super sexy with high drama and high emotion, while others are the love-me-tender with plenty of affection and romance. No matter what kind of romance you like— I think you will find an enjoyable story in my writing.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?
CH: I think, I was born a writer, because I’ve been writing since I was a small child. I have always wanted to write stories. I began reading books when I was three years old and my mother bought me Golden Books once a week. I wanted more books, so I began writing my own little stories to entertain myself and eventually, my brother. Later in my career, I became an editor and enjoyed helping other writers perfect their work. Eventually, it all lead to my blog, which is my passion for paying it forward!

Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination? CH: Yes, most of my characters are based on real people that I know or a part of this person and a part of that person to create a new character. In addition, most of the stories are based on real-life events from my life or close friends and relatives. I have added a little of my imagination to make the stories more exciting and definitely fictional. Part of this book actually happened to me. Can you guess what part? Hmm…I’m not telling.

Pen or type writer or computer?
CH: I use a PC mostly, but I use my laptop at other times and pen and paper when I get an idea in the oddest places. I also use audio notes on my phone, so I don’t miss any good ideas. I guess you could say that I use a little bit of everything to write my books.

Can you tell us a little about your writing?
CH: Yes, some of my stories are super sexy with high drama and high emotion, while others are the love-me-tender with plenty of affection and romance. No matter what kind of romance you like— I think you will find an enjoyable story in my writing.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?
CH: First and foremost, I am a writer and I firmly believe, ‘writers write.’ I have been writing for many years, now. My writing varies from articles, informational pieces, poetry, books, short stories and magazine articles. You name it and I can write it. I have put a great deal of time in learning my craft over the years. As a result, I am exceedingly passionate about writing. I write in several genres, but mostly romance. I have been told that I am an avid reader, dedicated writer and amazing blogger, who is always passionate about writing.

Where did you come up with the names in Love’s Ride: The Struggle Book 1?
CH: All of the names in this book are palindrome, which means that the names read the same backward as forward. I had a friend whose name was Kevvek and he loved palindromes. So, I wrote this book in dedication to him when he died.

What makes a good story?
CH: I think a good story/book has a definite beginning, middle and end. But it also needs some great scenarios—good and bad—to keep the reader turning the pages. So, the sequel to this book, Love’s Promise: The Struggle Book 2, has some juicy scenes and crazy new characters. I think, you’ll love this new book!

Each of the books have different types of stories that I think readers will enjoy. I love the city of Paris also, bit I don't think it's dying. The city still has a lot of beauty and history. I try to show the reader all of this in June's Double Rainbow. It is a fun read for anyone!
