To be honest I still don’t consider myself a writer. Every time I receive a good review I freak out. Im always so surprised that readers enjoy my books.

The Hell Bound series! That would be so cool.

The Hell Bound Series was based on a vacation trip I always wanted to take. As I started to write I added a little bit of my life into the book.

Do you have any “side stories” about the characters?
Not yet but eventually I would love to.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in The Hell Bound Series?
Sam is a fierce wife and mother that fights her way through Hell and back just to reach her children. Mathew is a strong sexy husband and father that will do anything and everything to protect the ones he loves.

How did you come up with the concept and characters for the book?
The names were used from my family members and the location is an actual place.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
How close to home it touched and how fun it was to bring some of my life alive in the series.

How did you come up with the title of your first novel?
Hell Bound (A vacation from hell) was because it was a vacation that turned from fun to Hell in a blink of an eye.

Who designed your book covers?
I designed some of my book covers and my editor did a couple as well.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
I feel I should have made it longer.

Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?
To be careful and always, always edit, edit, edit.

Anything specific you want to tell your readers?
Thank you, all for putting so much faith and love into my books. If it wasn’t for you I would not keep writing.

If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?
I would love to spend time with Sam. She is so strong and wonderful.

Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?
The main characters Mathew and Sam and their kids are based on real people.

Do your characters seem to hijack the story or do you feel like you have the reigns of the story?
The characters hijack the story. Every single time!

Four years

Some come to me as I write and some are deleted as well.

What kind of research do you do before you begin writing a book?
I always do a skitch, who,where,when.

Do you see writing as a career?
I would love to!

Do you read yourself and if so what is your favorite genre?
I absolutely love Horror and thriller books but I have to have some love in them.

Do you prefer to write in silence or with noise? Why?
I have two boys and five dogs.I am used to noise.lol

Do you write one book at a time or do you have several going at a time?
I usually write one at a time. I always lose concentration if I write several books at one time.

Pen or type writer or computer?
Computer please. It makes life so much easier.

What made you want to become an author and do you feel it was the right decision?
I just love to read and for over two years I had these stories that needed to be written, so one day I said screw it I'm writing these books.

A day in the life of the author?
Busy! My day starts with getting my two boys ready for school, feeding my horses and cleaning.

Advice they would give new authors?
Don’t stress over the bad reviews. Not everyone will love your books but that is okay.

What’s the most difficult thing about writing characters from the opposite sex?
How to get in their heads. I don’t know what men think or really how they act so it is hard to write about them.

How long on average does it take you to write a book?
It really depends. The caverns took me two years to write but my Hell Bound series only takes me a couple months to write.

Do you believe in writer’s block?
Yup! I have it now! lol
