Welcome to the Hugs, Kisses, Valentine Wishes Giveaway Hop sponsored by Mama the Fox!
Valentine's Day has always been a mixed bag for me lol. Back in high school, I was "anti-Valentine's" and wore black with my friends, drew hearts with x's on out hands, etc - you know, high school, no boyfriend type of stuff ;) Then, me and my husband had a few romantic years and nice dinners...until we had kids! Hard to be too romantic when you have three kids, two of them toddlers hanging around and "needing" you to pay more attention to their food than your own! So V-day is more of a special family dinner night for all of us and really we prefer to catch the early bird specials before the big crowds come in just in case the kids get rowdy! Still enjoy getting a nice box of chocolates from the hubby though...even if I have to share and let the kids have first pick....lol! MamatheFox and all participating blogs are not held responsible for sponsors who fail to fulfill their prize obligations.

I feel a strong sense of gift-giving resistance surrounding Valentine's Day. The sense of obligation killed any sense of meaning that came with the gift-giving. I would like to extend a warm thanks to Hallmark, the official sponsor of Valentine's Day, for reminding me that without a significant other, how truly worthless my life is

I hate they jack up the price of flowers this week. My birthday is the 12th and next week you can get them a 3rd of the price. And we should show our love all year not one day.

I hate that people that alone, often by CHOICE get this pushed in their face.

I hate how crowded it is if you go out to eat that night.

I love that Valentines day is about celebrating love but I don't like the crowded restaurants and the pressure of finding the right gift for my husband because he's so great.

I like that Valentine's Day promotes love between all people and of course chocolate.

As a kid, I always enjoyed making cards for my friends. As an adult, even when I was with my ex, we didn't really celebrate. But I always try to make it special for my kiddos.

I love baking all kinds of treats. I really don't like how commercialized it is though.

My husband and I don't celebrate V day but this year we have been skimming by barely so I surprised him and the kids with small little treats. 💜

I'm indifferent about Valentine's Day. I do like to receive chocolates, though.

I look forward to going to my kids' valentine parties at school and celebrating with the kids in my preschool class. And I really look forward to the chocolate covered strawberries my husband makes me every year!

I hate trying to buy flowers on Valentine's. It seems everyone is buying and you can't buy what you want.

Minding my Valentine's Day with some chocolate. Looks like the weight loss is on next month.
