What inspired you to write this book?
I have several story idea’s for the Love in the Hills of the Headwaters series. The town and beautiful surrounding area are definitely my inspiration. Here’s a little something about the Series.
Love in the Hills of the Headwaters series is my newest project. Although characters sometimes pop into other stories all the books are standalone and can be read in any order. The only thing that links these stories to the series is the geographical location where they take place. Here is my introduction to this series:
There is no place more beautiful to me than the home I’ve made with the love of my life. We’re surrounded by rushing waters, rugged landscapes, rolling hills and magnificent views. Where people are real, and life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful. It’s the most magnificent inspiration for love. Set in the communities that form the Headwaters, the ‘Love in the Hills of the Headwaters Series’ will bring you stories you can relate to; people you can connect with; and love you can believe in. Do you have any “side stories” about the characters?
Each story in the Love in the Hills of the Headwaters Series is a standalone, however the characters do pop in to other stories.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Unfinished Business?
Maya is a woman who is constantly accused by her family as an overthinker because they don’t understand her gift. When she was younger she had a hard time sorting out her thoughts and feelings. As a result she made some choices that separated her and her highschool sweetheart Alex. Alex never stopped loving her and when he has the opportunity seventeen years later he takes it. All they have to do is stop history from repeating itself.

How did you come up with the concept and characters for the book?
A little fiction, a little inspiration from those around me. But if anyone asks they are all fictional characters and any resemblance is purely coincidental.

Where did you come up with the names in the story?
Believe it or not this is probably the second hardest part of the story for me. The first hardest part being the blurb. Sometimes I pick a name and then get writing and decide I hate it, or it doesn’t suit the character and then swap them all out. In fact, in UNFINISHED BUSINESS one of the elderly characters had three name changes before I settled on one.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
There was something about their relationship that I connected with but also part of the storyline hit very close to home for me.

How did you come up with the title of your first novel?
Okay, this is the third hardest part for me. After character names and blurbs. I try different ones out and see if they make sense when I go back to read again. I’m still not sure the titles of my first series are good. Lol

Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?
Yes, grammar and punctuation hate me.

How did you come up with name of this book?
It had a few different titles but after I finished rewrites and edits I don’t think there was any choice. It was UNFINISHED BUSINESS for the win. You’ll have to read it to find out why.

What is your favorite part of this book and why?
The little moments that make you wonder and become excited.

Do your characters seem to hijack the story or do you feel like you have the reigns of the story? Generally I know the story line, who says what and when and how we get to certain pivotal moments. There was one moment in the new release Unfinished Business that one of the characters took it and ran and left me wondering how I was ever going to get back to my planned story.

If your book had a candle, what scent would it be?
Dusty old antiques

What did you edit out of this book?
A sex scene that was too spicy even I blushed when I read it back.

Fun Facts/Behind the Scenes/Did You Know?'
to date, all my stories have characters or at least one character who has Irish heritage. The story REFUSING TO EXPIRE is actually based on how my current boyfriend and I met. It’s mostly non-fiction and a lot of the dialogue actually took place. He’s not quite as romantic anymore, but we’re still together after eight years! My original series BOUND4IRELAND was a story I couldn’t get out of my head and I once met a little English medium/psychic who told me that the story that was whirling around in my head for over a year was actually past life memories ! Huh ! who knew?
