Genre: Fairy Tale Fantasy Romance

For all the innate complications involved in finding the secret to blissful fairy-tale love, a wise and discerning princess trusts her heart and falls in love with the unlikeliest of princes.

In the ruins of a country destroyed by a curse. Princess Leesa goes looking for a way to help her people. Desperate to find an item of value to trade for supplies, she trespasses into an abandoned palace.

There, she finds more than she bargained for when she encounters a lonely Gargoyle who offers to provide her with everything she needs, for a price.

A gargoyle, Willem is dreadfully lonely and longing for human companionship. Promising the beautiful Leesa riches, he begs her to stay with him for a time. With so many to provide for, she can't refuse and soon learns that looks can be deceiving. The steep price to be paid to break the spell that cursed him into existence as a gargoyle may be more than Leesa is willing or able to pay.

But her choice offers no second chances: Either she gains back what she's been mourning or she loses everything she's ever wanted…forever.

"I am the guardian of the palace and you are an intruder." He stood up. "Normally I would not have allowed you to get this far. But you're not the average thief. I'm going to let you stay as my guest."

"Stay here?" Leesa couldn't believe what she'd heard. "With you? How dare you hold me here!"

"You're my guest, not my captive. You'll be my guest for the next three weeks."

"What? I can't stay here."

The gargoyle went to the glass cabinet and opened the door. "If you stay, I'll give you some of riches you were looking for. I'll give you enough to feed your people for the next year."

She hadn't expected him to make an offer like that. "You would do that? Then why not give me the treasures now and let me go?"

He picked up a cut-glass bottle and examined the pink liquid inside it. "I'm lonely. It's been a long time since I've had conversation…or anything else." He turned to her. "Do we have an agreement?"

It would solve her problems. But was it worth it? "I've heard that gargoyles eat humans."

"If that were true, we wouldn't be talking. So, do you agree?"

"How can I be sure I can trust you?" she asked.

"You can't. But you're the one who was stealing."

"Look, I had a good reason. My people need food. The Duke stashed treasure in here. I wouldn't have come here otherwise."

He frowned at her. "If you really were betrothed to his son, why don't you know where all this treasure is?"

"He never told his sons. But I know it. He hoarded money." Weary, she sat on the edge of the bed. "If you think I'm lying, let me go."

"You can leave without the goblets." He motioned to the door. "It's your choice."

He smiled as he covered her with the blanket. "You should know that I normally don't find beautiful young maidens in the forest after midnight either. Especially naked ones," he said. "You are a maiden, aren't you?"

It took a few seconds for her to catch his meaning, and when she did, heat spread across her face. Kayla pulled the blanket up so that it rested just below her chin. "Yes, I am."

A smile spread across his full lips, completely disarming her. "Ah, then. I was right. It will be a very lucky gentleman who tastes you for the first time."

Now the heat was cutting a path downward, waking up a feeling that she'd never experienced before. Was this some enchantment?

Del leaned closer and kissed her cheek. "You have a fire, my lady. Whoever wins your heart and ignites your passion will be at your mercy."

"What…what do you mean, sir?" Why was she trembling all of a sudden?

He laughed. "Nothing is by chance. Perhaps you and I met for just such a purpose."

"Are you saying…you're saying that you will ignite my passion? You think highly of yourself, sir." She gripped the blanket just in case he thought about pulling it off her.

"Stop fighting so hard to be insulted," he said. "Here in the Great Forest, we enjoy life and love. Good night, Kayla."

"Where are you going?" she asked. How dare he say those things then walk away!

"Downstairs. I was on my way to a party before we met. I'll see you in the morning. Sweet dreams."

Land of Dreams
Once Upon a Princess Book 3

Picture

Formula for Fairy Tale Love: 1 adventurous Heroine + 1 tortured-but-noble Hero = Happily-Ever-After.

In the rich and fertile land called Montrose, humans and creatures of magic exist together in a complex web of harmony…and deceit.

Willem was created of magic and trapped in the Land of Dreams by a curse in which he shared his gargoyle form with Eduardo. When Eduardo freed himself from the evil spell his jealous half-brother Erokan cast on him, Willem survived and was given a new life by the faeries. Haunted by the duality of his previous existence as well as the woman he and Eduardo both fell in love with while hexed, Willem, now a gargoyle shifter, meets the daughter of Lord Montrose. Compassionate, graceful and adamant about marrying for love and not riches, Cicely is far more wondrous than her outside beauty suggests. Suddenly, everything he's ever wanted is within his grasp. But he isn't the only man who longs to capture her.

Aware that Cicely descends from the royal line and was hidden away as a child to keep her magical ability a secret, a mysterious stranger intends to bend the powerful fire elemental to his will. To succeed, he has only to dominate Willem, still anguished by the curse that trapped him…and easily beguiled by a fair princess.

Cicely knows she possesses magical ability, but her origins are a mystery even to her. She loves her family and her land. Falling in love with the courageous, self-sacrificing Willem may be the key to awakening…or unleashing…something formidable buried deep inside her.

“A year ago you used the stars to cast the spell that freed Eduardo. A spell that used the constellation of The Archer, Willem. I think it’s important that you’ll–”
“Lady Agnes! Where are you?”
Startled, Willem turned in the direction of the feminine voice. She was in the doorway, surrounded by bright sunlight. All he saw at first was a silhouette, then movement as she stepped inside.
“Oh, I didn’t know you had someone with you.” She was standing by the candles now, bathed in soft light. Her dark hair fell to her shoulders, framing her face. Her smile sent a shock through him, just as her gaze pinned him to the spot. He’d never seen her before, but there was something about her that was familiar.
“Lady Cicely,” Lady Agnes said. “I was going to visit you later. Let me introduce you to my protégé, Willem. He’s a retired soldier and he’s versed in astronomy.”
“Oh, father will be happy to hear that,” she replied, keeping her eyes on Willem. “He’s quite taken with astronomy these days. I’m not sure why.”
“How convenient that we have someone to assist him, then.” Lady Agnes squeezed his arm. “You haven’t said anything.”
“I’m sorry…I didn’t intend to be rude.” Willem bowed to Cicely. When he straightened up their eyes met again. “I’m very happy to make your acquaintance, Lady Cicely.”
“Happy to meet you too.” She lowered her eyes, then clasped her hands as though she wasn’t quite sure what to do next. “Um…I…maybe I should be getting back.”
“You just got here.” Why had he said that? It had just slipped out.

Who are the Characters of Heart of Stone?
In Once Upon A Princess: Heart of Stone the main characters are Princess Leesa and Willam, a Gargoyle who lives in an abandoned palace. Leesa is a 30-something woman who has lost most of her family in a war caused by a Duke who used magic against the royal families. She had been betrothed to the Duke’s son, Eduardo. Unfortunately, Eduardo disappeared after he was sent to fight a battle on behalf of his father.
When the Duke took a ship to travel to an island where he was looking for riches, the ship crashed on the rocks and sank. All of the Duke’s remaining soldiers left, but Willam stayed at the palace. He’s been there alone for a few years and has observed Leesa in her travels between her castle and the local village. So, when Leesa enters the palace, he sees an opportunity to have some company for a while.
They are both lonely and have suffered because of the Duke’s actions. They both want to find happiness, if possible after the years of war and devastation. They seem like an unlikely pair to have a relationship, but when it comes to fairy tales, there’s always more to the story. They’re looking for second chances to have love and companionship. However, when there is magic (and magical curses) involved, you never know what might happen!

Who are the Characters of Beauty & the Faun?
Kayla, the heroine, is a young woman in her early 20’s. She and her mother live with Kayla’s aunt and uncle in their mansion and are treated like poor relations. Her father, a woodsman, passed away and she and her mother weren’t able to stay in their home in the forest. Because her uncle has lost money in the gaming tables, he’s decided to arrange a marriage for Kayla with a very mysterious shifter prince.
Del, the hero is a faun shifter who lives in the Great Forest. He’s carefree and has no use for the nobility. You could say they have a “meet cute” when Kayla ends up taking refuge in the forest. She’s open to adventure and romance – and so is Del. So they seem like a perfect match – however she can’t get out of the contract that’s been made with the prince. She has to make a choice for her own happiness, just as he mother did when she married someone who wasn’t a noble.
Kayla has a sense of duty and responsibility, so has a tough choice to make. Should she follow her heart or accept that she has to fulfill the destiny others have created for her?
