by Ellis O. Day
Genre: Steamy Romance/ Erotica
218 pages

Picture
When Patrick stumbles across a maid at La Petite Morte Club watching a couple have sex, he can’t keep his hands off her. She’s cute, sexy and kinky – just the way he likes his women.

Until he discovers that she’s the younger sister of one of his best friends which means she’s in the “hands off” department.

Annie is tired of guys staying away from her because of her overprotective brother. She’s determined to convince Patrick that she should not be off limits and that his hands should definitely be all over her body.

This is a HEA standalone series meant for eighteen and up.

Annie finished making the bed and gathered the sheets from the floor, keeping them as far away from her body as possible. These sex rooms were disgusting and Ethan was a jerk making her work as a maid. She almost had her Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts, but he’d refused to hire her for the kitchen—too many men in the kitchen. The only job he’d give her at La Petite Morte Club was as a maid and unfortunately, she needed the money too badly to refuse.
She stuffed the dirty sheets into the cart and hurried out the door. She had almost thirty minutes before she had to be at the next “sex room.” She hid the cart in a closet and darted down a back hallway, staying clear of the cameras. Julie, the woman who supervised the daytime maids, was a real bitch. If she were caught sneaking away from her duties, she’d be assigned to the orgy rooms every day. Right now, they all took turns cleaning that nightmare. She swore they should get hazard pay to even go in those rooms.
She slipped through a doorway and hurried to the one-way mirror. She stared at the couple in the next room. From her first day here, she’d been curious about the activities at the club. She was twenty-four and wasn’t a virgin but she’d never, ever done some of these things.
The woman in the other room was tied to a table, legs spread and wearing some sort of leather outfit that left her large breasts free and her crotch exposed. She’d shaved her private parts and her pink lower lips were swollen and glistening from her excitement. The man strolled around the table as if he had all night. He still had his pants on but had removed his shirt. His arms and chest were well defined but he had a slight paunch. His erection tented his pants and Annie felt wetness pool between her legs. She had no idea why watching this turned her on but it did. Ever since she’d accidentally barged in on that guy and girl in the Interview room, she couldn’t stop watching.
The man below ran his hand up the woman’s inner thigh, glancing over her pussy. The woman thrust her hips upward and Annie ran her own hand between her legs. The man’s mouth moved but Annie couldn’t hear anything and then he slapped the woman across the thigh hard enough to leave a red mark. Annie jumped. She wasn’t into that, but she couldn’t take her eyes off the woman’s face. At first, it’d contorted in pain but then it’d morphed into pleasure. The man hit her again and then bent, kissing the red welts—running his tongue across them as his fingers squeezed her nipple.
Annie clutched her thighs together, searching for some relief. Her panties were soaked. It wouldn’t take but a few strokes to make her come. She started to slide her hand into her pants.
“Having fun?” asked a deep voice from behind her.
She spun around, her heart dropping into her stomach. “Ah…I was just finishing cleaning in here.” Damn, she should’ve closed the door but she hadn’t expected anyone in this area. The rooms were off limits on this floor until tonight and she was the only one assigned to clean here.
He shut the door and locked it before strolling toward her. She’d seen him around the Club, but more than that she remembered him from the military photos her brother, Vic, had sent to her. She carried one of the three of them—Vic, Ethan and this guy, Patrick—in her purse. He’d been attractive in the picture, but now that he was older and in person he was gorgeous. He had dark green eyes, brown hair and a perfect body. He stopped so close to her his chest almost brushed against her breasts. She was pretty sure it would if she inhaled deeply. She really wanted to do that and feel his hard chest rub against her nipples.
“Don’t let me stop you from enjoying the show.”
“I…I wasn’t. I should go.” She started to walk past him but he grabbed her hand.
His grip was warm and strong but loose enough that she could pull free if she wanted. She didn’t. Even though she only knew him from her brother’s pictures and letters, she’d had many fantasies about him when she’d been in high school. Her gaze dropped to the front of his pants and her mouth almost watered. He was definitely interested. She dragged her eyes up his body, stopping on his face. He smiled at her.
“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Watching turns us all on.” He kissed the back of her hand and she jumped as his tongue darted out, tasting her skin.
“I…I should go.” She didn’t move.
“No, you should watch.” He dropped her hand and grabbed her shoulders, gently turning her toward the mirror. He trailed his hands up and down her arms. “Watch.”

What is something unique/quirky about you?
We all believe we’re normal, but special. My friend at works swears I should have my own reality TV show. Obviously, he doesn’t think I’m normal. I have five dogs and five cats. I live in the woods. I cook the food for my pets—have for years. I have an entire system set up—two additional freezers just for turkeys when they go on sale before Thanksgiving and a “dog” fridge where I keep the big pots of dog food. I’ve been doing this so long, it’s normal to me, but I guess not to others. I also get up in the middle of the night and exercise. I won’t do it unless there is the possibility of going back to bed. I did some research and until the advent of electric light, people had two sleeps. They always got up in the middle of the night – so I’m not odd, just truer to our real nature (yeah, right).

Tell us something really interesting that's happened to you!
When I was a junior in high school, I was at the St. John Kmart in Indiana. A gunman came into the store and shot it up. People died. It was surreal. I’d only gone to the store that day to get my schedule (I worked there part-time) so I could decide if I should go out with a boy who was dating a girl I hated. He’d asked me and even though I knew it was wrong to go out with him when he was dating her – I really, really hated her. So, I decided to see if the decision would be made for me. If I had to work, then I couldn’t go. My father and baby niece were with me that day. It was terrifying. I took that as a sign (a really, slap me in the face sign) that I shouldn’t go on the date.

What are some of your pet peeves?
I hate the phrase, It is what it is. Too many people use it as an excuse for things they could change if they wanted to. For example: “I don’t like my job, but it is what it is.” No. It’s not. Get a new job if you’re that unhappy. Or another one, “I’m too heavy but it is what it is.” No, it’s not. Eat less. Exercise more. Do something. I’ve tried to lose weight and it’s hard, but it isn’t an “It is what it is” situation.

Where were you born/grew up at?
I was born and raised in Cedar Lake, Indiana. It was rural and fun (although when I was a teen I thought it was boring). In the summer, we’d leave the house as soon as breakfast was over (otherwise, Mom would give us work to do) and sometimes not return until it was dark. Mom didn’t worry because she knew we were safe in the neighborhood playing with the other kids. It was a great place and time to be a child.

If you knew you'd die tomorrow, how would you spend your last day?
I’d spend it with my family –probably detailing how they should finish my books. 

Who is your hero and why?
I can’t say that I have a “real” hero. I admire some people. I admire my niece for having the courage to start her own business and for creating a great life with her husband. I admire my family – all of them—because not one of them ever blames anyone for their problems. In a world where it’s normal to blame society or bad luck or God, my family stands up and says, “My life is how I made it.” We’ve all made mistakes but we own them.

What kind of world ruler would you be?
I’d like to think I’d be a fair ruler – I am a Libra after all.  However, I honestly think I’d be a harsh ruler for some offenses. I see no gray area in child abuse, abuse of the elderly and animal abuse and would punish those offenses very harshly. With everything else, I can see both sides (I’m actually pretty good at doing that and it helps my writing immensely).

What are you passionate about these days?

I am always passionate about animal rights and animals. I’m passionate about the Game of Thrones (). I really love that show. And, of course, I’m passionate about my writing. I love writing and creating and telling these stories.

What do you do to unwind and relax?
I would go to the spa and get a massage every week/day if I could afford it, but since I can’t, I’ve been taking Sunday afternoons off. M-F I work my dreaded day job and then come home and work until about 10 pm on my books. I’m up at 5 am to get ready for work. Saturdays, I run errands and write. Last Saturday I didn’t finish writing until after 8 pm. So, on Sundays, I’ve been giving myself a bit of a break. I usually work until between 1 and 3 pm and then relax. I plop my butt on the couch and watch TV. It’s mindless and fun. Sometimes, I cook. I enjoy cooking but that could be because I only do it when I want to.

How to find time to write as a parent?
I’m not a parent so I can’t answer this because although I call my dogs and cats my babies, they don’t take up near the time that kids do. I know. My niece and nephew stayed with me a few summers ago. I barely had time to write. So, I don’t know how you writers with kids do it – but I admire you.

Describe yourself in 5 words or less!
Smart. Funny. Loyal. Vengeful. Creative.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I’ve always wanted to write but I don’t think I considered myself a writer until I got my first reviews on my first book and realized that people (not friends, not family but strangers) actually liked my work. It was then that the idea that I may, one day, be able to do this for a living actually became a hope instead of a dream.

Do you have a favorite movie?
There are a lot of movies that I like, such as: The Green Mile, the first three Star Wars movies (episodes 4-6 NOT 1-3), the Godfather, The Replacements, The Goonies, etc.
But I don’t really have a favorite. It depends on my mood and who’s watching it with me.

Which of your novels can you imagine made into a movie?
I think my romance novels would be too hot for the screen. They’d really have to downplay the sex scenes and then you’d be left with something like the 50 Shades movies – more blah that yummy!
However, I do think both the Voyeur and Six Nights of Sin would make excellent HBO series or mini-special. The Voyeur has the unique advantage of double the sex. Most of the sex scenes happen when Patrick and Annie are watching other couples engage in sex.
In Six Nights of Sin there are a lot of games, sexual games, and that could make for some fun watching.

What inspired you to write this book?
After writing the Six Nights of Sin series, I realized there were a lot more hot, rich guys at La Petite Morte Club who needed to be knocked down a peg by love. So, I started writing about the other guys introduced in Six Nights of Sin and Patrick was the first on my list. He’s a good guy who’s been hurt by women in the past, so he’s guarded. He also has some ghosts of guilt and remorse he needs to deal with and Annie is just the woman to help him.

What can we expect from you in the future?
I’m working on the continuation of Nick and Sarah’s story (you meet them in the Six Nights of Sin series). This book will give Nick and Sarah their HEA. I would’ve loved to have done that in Six Nights of Sin, but Sarah was a little more broken than six nights of (even fabulous) sex can fix. I try very hard to make my characters more than one dimensional. You won’t find any white knights here – they all have their flaws and hang-ups (like we all do).
Next, I’ll probably move on to Mattie’s story. He’s Nick’s little brother and he’s about to see one of his good friends from a very different perspective (she’s on stage at La Petite Morte Club, blindfolded in a slinky dress and kissing men to decide who gets the pleasure of taking her to bed for the evening). That does not go over well with Mattie.
There’s also Ethan and Terry’s stories that need to be told. I have ideas and some drafts for both of them. I can’t forget Patrick’s lead investigator, Hunter, and Mattie’s friend Jake. With every story I write more hot, fascinating men appear wanting me to find them a lover.

Do you have any “side stories” about the characters?
If you mean, what happens to them when the book closes, yes. You’ll see Nick in Patrick’s story and Sarah in Jake’s story. The guys and the gals will cross over. I don’t currently have any short stories about them, but I may one day. I have a series of short story ideas that follow a young woman who works at La Petite Morte Club. You’re sure to meet some of the men from the other books in this series.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in The Voyeur Series?
First there’s Annie. She’s a young woman hoping her brother Vic who came back from the war a different man, will come home. He’s disappeared into the streets. She’s struggling to pay her bills while she goes to school for her degree in Culinary Arts. That’s why she’s working for Ethan, one of her brother’s friends, at La Petite Morte Club as a maid. She’s lonely and when Patrick enters her life, she’s sure her fantasies have come true.
Patrick is a good guy. Sounds boring but he’s anything but. He’s rich, attractive and knows his way around a woman’s body. However, he’s a sucker for a woman in need but he’s determined to stop falling for them because they always use him and break his heart. That’s why La Petite Morte Club is perfect for him, until he meets Annie. He’s attracted to her right away, but then he finds out she’s his best friend’s little sister and that means, she’s off limits. Except, Ethan is going away and puts Patrick in charge of making sure that Annie stays out of trouble and Annie doesn’t want to be “off limits”.
I’m sure you can see where the sparks will fly.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
I loved the verbal sparring between Annie and Patrick. Annie is no pushover –having five older brothers will do that to a girl. I also liked getting to know Nick outside of the bedroom. In Six Nights of Sin, we meet Nick and Sarah and there’s a lot of sex and sexual fantasies. In this one, we get to know Nick the friend and he’s a good guy too.

Tell us about your main characters- what makes them tick?
Patrick is honorable. He tries to do what is right even when he craves to do the opposite. He’s a former marine and following orders and doing the right thing is part of his DNA. However, no one messes with Cupid. When the perfect woman turns up and fate forces the two of them together, Patrick can fight his attraction but he won’t win.
Annie is a force of nature in a small, curvy package. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. She’s used to big, alpha males and knows how to push their buttons.
Her overprotective brothers kept the boys away in high school, so the star of her fantasies had been the picture of her brother’s friend. When she meets Patrick in person, she wants him. She wants to live her dreams, just for a little while. Things are going great until he discovers who she is and pushes her away. However, she can’t avoid fate either and the more time the two of them spend together the more passion is bottled up – waiting for the explosion.

Who designed your book covers?
I designed the cover for The Voyeur series myself (hope you like it).
I also designed the first cover for Six Nights of Sin, but I wasn’t happy with it so I hired Teragrim77 Author Services to create a new cover. I love it. They did a fabulous job.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
No. Finding Patrick and Annie’s real reason for fighting so hard not to fall in love was hard, but once they revealed their secrets I was able to go back and tighten up the book. I really think this is a fun, sexy story.

Anything specific you want to tell your readers?
Yes, I like to offer the (I call it) Costco method of promoting my books. I break them down into smaller stories and offer the first one for FREE. I don’t think Amazon’s “Look Inside” gives you enough of the story to fully decide if you’ll like the characters and the story.
This way, you can grab the first book for free. If you like it, great! If not, you aren’t out anything but some time.
Another thing I want to mention is that you can purchase the stories individually but it will always be cheaper to buy the box set.

How did you come up with name of this book?
Sometimes the titles of the books are a hard thing to decide, this one was not. I knew it was going to be about a young woman who discovers (by accident) that she gets turned on by watching other couples have sex – kinky sex. So, The Voyeur was a natural conclusion.
Now, the next three titles were a little more difficult (Watching the Voyeur – book 2, Touching the Voyeur – book 3, and Loving the Voyeur – book 4), but as soon as the story was written it was easy to see that Annie and Patrick’s relationship progressed in segments (watching, touching – lots and lots of touching, and loving).
Of course, the box set/series was an easy title (it’s on sale for 99 cents – usual 3.99)

What is your favorite part of this book and why?
Oh, there are so many. I enjoy the dark, brooding alpha male as much as the next woman (see Six Nights for this type of hero), but I also really like the fun guy and gal. That’s this story. Patrick is hot and alpha but he’s can be funny too.
I love the scene where Patrick is trying to hide that he’d just fooled around with Annie because he’d just found out that she was one of his best friend’s little sister. Nick however noticed that there was something going on and he continues to tease and push Patrick until Patrick is ready to strangle him. It’s a funny scene.
I also love the scene where Annie is punishing Patrick for pushing her away. She uses her body to tease and torment him, and it’s great.
The sex scenes are hot too and are of course favorites of mine, but there are really too many to choose one as a favorite.

If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?
I’ll be honest. As long as I was spending time with Patrick before he met Annie (I’d never try to steal another woman’s man), then we’d be having sex. He’s hot and kinky and that’s how I’d want to spend our time together.
If it was after he met Annie, then I think I’d have Annie teach me how to cook (I do okay, but I’m no chef) and Patrick could help me on what private investigators do in a typical day – research for another book.

Do your characters seem to hijack the story or do you feel like you have the reigns of the story?
Oh, my characters definitely hijack my stories. I start with a character or two and let them tell me their story. I don’t feel like I’m in control at all. Sometimes, when they aren’t talking I write scenes (I always write even when it isn’t flowing). Those scenes usually turn out crappy and I toss them, but sometimes the characters actually come and take over. I imagine it like a shy kid or animal and I’m coaxing them out of hiding.
Once they start talking I write and write until they stop. Then I trudge along until I can get them to open up again. When the story is done, I know who they are and I go back and delete and reshape the book.

Convince us why you feel your book is a must read.
One of my favorite romance authors is Julia Quinn. Her books are fun and sexy. I see this book as similar to Julia Quinn if Julia wrote steamy romance/erotica. My characters are fun – the story is fun—and there’s a lot of sex (and it’s hot).
One of my beta readers said it took her awhile to read this book because she kept having to stop and “take care of things” if you know what I mean. Her boyfriend was a very, very happy man while she was reading this book.

What are your top 10 favorite books/authors?
Oddly enough, I really don’t read much anymore. I used to read all the time, but now, I’m so busy writing, editing and marketing my own books, that I don’t have much free time, but I’ll try and answer.
I love books by Julia Quinn. Her characters are funny and her writing style is light and fun.
I love Shakespeare. His writing style isn’t light but his stories are great.
I went through a Stephen King and Carl Hiaassen phase.
The book “Taxi Cat and Huey” is a hoot. I read it to my nieces and nephews.
Watership Down and the Godfather are favorites of mine. The Dune series – by Frank Herbert was great. I never read anything by his son but those might be great too.

What book do you think everyone should read?
Mine. No just kidding (kind of). I think everyone should read or at least be aware of the classics because so many movies and books are based (loosely) on them. There are so many references in our culture to the bible, Romeo and Juliet, Moby Dick, Tale of Two Cities, etc that everyone should have a basic understanding of those stories. Some are great and some are dry and hard to get through but it’s worth it.

How long have you been writing?
I actually sat down to “really” write in April of 2012 – so almost 6 years. I’d graduated with a Bachelor’s in Creative Writing in 1996 but I never put it to use. In 2012, I signed up for a fiction writing course with Writer’s Digest and wrote my book (it actually became two books in my YA Fantasy series The Lake Of Sins).

Do the characters all come to you at the same time or do some of them come to you as you write?
A lot of them come to me as I write and they pester me about getting their own story. That’s how I met Patrick. He was one of the secondary characters in book one of the Six Nights of Sins series - Interviewing For Her Lover (which is FREE by the way).
From the Six Nights of Sin series, I decided to write Patrick, Terry and Ethan’s story. In Patrick’s story (The Voyeur), I met and decided to write the stories for Hunter, Mattie, Jake and Chelsea. With every story someone else pops up, begging me to tell his/her story and I’m going to oblige them because they are all interesting and fun.

What kind of research do you do before you begin writing a book?
Usually, I don’t. I do my research as questions come up in the story. Although, for this book I did do some research. I’d only read romance novels – never erotica or steamy romance. So, I did a lot of reading in that genre. Let me tell you, there’s some good stuff out there and some VERY, VERY bad stuff – and I don’t mean that in a good way.
Anyway, I also looked up a lot of information on different sexual practices. I’ve done some things, but not near the things that are in the erotica books. So, I had to research.

Do you see writing as a career?
Yes. I truly hope to one day be able to quit my day job and do this full time. I have so many stories in my head and not enough time to get them out.
And for any of you would be writers, writing is the easy part. An author also has to market their books and that takes a lot of time – a lot of time.

What do you think about the current publishing market?
There are pros and cons to the current publishing market. I like that anyone can publish now -- that we don’t have to go through gate-keepers (the big publishing houses). I think that this type of market is much better for the reader.
The big publishing houses want the same type of books as the last big seller. These types have a better chance of making money. Take Harry Potter as an example. This series was huge. The publishing houses wanted a lot of books similar to Harry Potter. This left the market saturated until someone managed to get an agent and publisher to try something different (usually an established author could do this). And then, it’d start all over again – “we want books like so-and-so’s blockbuster”.
With indie publishing, the readers decide what they like and trust me, the publishing houses take note. Just look at Hugh Howey and some other indie authors.
On the same note, having no gate-keepers and allowing everyone be able to publish anything does let a lot of crap out there. I’ve read some books that have so many typos and mistakes that I can’t finish them. I actually had one book where the author cut and pasted one scene like three times in the book. It was ridiculous.
This is also one of the reasons that I offer my first book in my series for free. Many readers don’t want to give indie authors a chance because so many books are poorly edited (if edited at all). But, if the first book is free a reader can check it out without risking a penny. I won’t swear that there are no typos (my editor and I do our best but we are only human) but I know that there aren’t a ton of them.
As a reader, I don’t want to spend my hard earned money on garbage and as an author I don’t want you to either.

Do you read yourself and if so what is your favorite genre?
I don’t have much time to read anything but my own books. I edit, edit and edit some more. I don’t want to publish trash so I go over it again and again (usually, about 7-10 times per book).
However, when I do read, I usually read romance. I like contemporary and historical.
I also read science fiction, fantasy, thrillers – just about everything, but romance is my favorite.

Do you prefer to write in silence or with noise? Why?
I can write with either. I usually write in silence but it doesn’t matter because there are so many voices in my head and I get so deep into the story that I wouldn’t hear the noise anyway.
I am constantly writing dialogue, plot and stories in my head. I have no idea how people who don’t do this get by every day. It must be so lonely.

Do you write one book at a time or do you have several going at a time?
I focus on one at a time, but I have several going. I am always working on my romance and my fantasy series (I also write under L. S. O’Dea). However, lately I’ve had so many of the romance characters chatting away at me, that I had to put what they were saying down.
So, right now, I’m focusing on the sequel to Six Nights of Sin. But, I also have a few scenes of Terry, Ethan and Mattie’s stories written down as well as another story about half done – it has nothing to do with La Petite Morte Club.

Pen or type writer or computer?

Type and computer – most definitely. I just put it all down and then edit it later. That would be a nightmare if I did it with pen and paper. Just the thought makes me cringe.

Tell us about a favorite character from a book.
I love Scarlett O’Hara. I think she was the first character I read who was not always good. She did some truly awful things, but I really felt for her. I try and make my characters like that – human. We all have good and bad inside of us and we sometimes do both.

What made you want to become an author and do you feel it was the right decision?
I’ve always wanted to write. Ever since I realized that the people who made up stories were just people, not some magic being. I revelation occurred to me when my brother wrote a story for class. It was about a boy’s walk home from school in the dark and it was spooky and I loved it. I knew at that moment that I wanted to write.
I didn’t actually do anything about it (beside for graduating from college with an English Creative Writing degree) for years.
Did I make the right choice? Yes, I think so. I love writing. I have no intention of stopping – ever. However, I am a lot poorer now. Marketing books is expensive and so is editing, proofreading and book cover design, not to mention fees for book delivery companies, web sites, etc.

A day in the life of the author?
Well, since I’m not a full time author (unfortunately) here goes.
I’m up at 5 am. I take care of my animals and get ready for work.
Leave at 6 am.
Arrive at work at 7 am.
On my lunch hour, I pull out my laptop and write.
Leave work at 4 pm.
Get home between 5 and 6 (depending on if I have to stop anywhere).
Walk dogs and do some light chores until about 7-7:30.
Sit down at the computer and work – writing, editing, marketing, etc.
At 10 pm go to bed.
Get up around midnight or one and exercise.
Go back to bed.
Day is done!

Advice they would give new authors?
First, write. Don’t worry about getting it perfect, just get it down. Just like Jodi Picoult said, “You can always edit a bad page. You can’t edit a blank page.” I let the stuff out of my head and put it on paper. Sometimes a lot is back story that ends in the trash but I need to know this. I need to know my characters before I can tell their tale.
Second, if you don’t know how to market, take a marketing course. I signed up for Nick Stephensen’s Your First 10K Readers and my sales have quadrupled. It’s a lot of work and takes time and money, but if you’re serious about becoming a full-time author, do it.

Describe your writing style.

I get an idea - sometimes a character, sometimes a scene and then I go with it. I let the character talk to me and lead me into his/her life. It’s hard to do this sometimes. The Voyeur was particularly difficult. Patrick and Annie didn’t want to talk to me. They didn’t want to tell me the real reason they were afraid of falling in love. I trudged through pages before I was finally, able to say – “Ah, there you are.” Sometimes my characters are shy and don’t want to reveal themselves to me, but I’m persistent.

What makes a good story?
For me, character is most important. I mean, the story has to be good, but I have to feel something for the characters or it doesn’t matter. There are books and TV shows out there that have great concepts but the characters fall flat. The TV show Alcatraz that was out a few years ago was one of them. The concept was great but it just didn’t work.

What are they currently reading?
I’m not. I tend to read and read and read my books over and over again to edit them. I seldom have time to read other people’s books. I’m hoping I can pick that up again once I can quit my day job.

What is your writing process? For instance do you do an outline first? Do you do the chapters first?
I’m more of a pantser. I get an idea or meet a character in my head and let them lead me. Sometimes, chapters come to me – I call them scenes. I write them down and fit them in the story later. I like writing this way because my characters take me places I never would’ve gone on my own.
